Give me the REMOTE!

Have I mentioned my hubby? I love him. He's the bestest EVER! He doesn't Twitter or have a Facebook profile (I may have to put him in the circus as the last man on earth to not be on Facebook). But since he isn't a virtual friend...we're just plain ol' best friends. I just love him. I'm repeating myself, aren't I?

So would it be so bad if I had to ask this one tiny, itty, bitty favor of him? GIVE ME THE DARN REMOTE OR NO MORE BROWNIES FOR YOU...and that's just the first item on the 'no more for you' list.

Oh My GOODNESS. Don't leave a girl hangin'! The suspense is killing me!!

I guess it's just girl curiosity but when he breezes by a channel and actually stops for more than three seconds, I become emotionally invested. I WANT TO KNOW! Can anyone relate to this scenario:

"The mystery has been solved that has eluded scientists for centuries thanks to the discovery of......" CLICK

"Hollywood was shocked today to learn that............" CLICK

"We interrupt this program to bring you a special announcement........." CLICK!!!

Seriously....just hand it over and no one will get hurt.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled program.

  1. Haha..love it.
I can't handle my husband way of surfing channels either. He doesn't use the up/down button. He just jumps around to different channels. I don't like it...I'm not sure why...but yeah there it is.

  2. That's hilarious! My dad STILL does that. The hubs is a little more generous with the remote. Oh and my husband isn't on Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, etc. He doesn't even have a personal e-mail account...only his work one. Crazy, isn't it?!

  3. I can totally relate you your remote issues. On the rare occasion I actually like something he picks....I'm just start to get into it and BAM! he changes the channel. Ugh. Very frustrating! I feel your pain!

  4. Oh! And my hubs isn't on FB, MySpace or any other form of virtual communitcation. He even refuses to ready my blog..."why would I read what I live everyday." Ok. Good point.

  5. This happens to us ALL of the time! Except he will spend more than a few minutes, more like 15 or 20 and I am totally invested and then POOF we are on the next channel.

We now have our own TVs. We are much happier.
